About this spot

This expansive sports park, a source of pride for Fukuroi City, has hosted the Rugby World Cup and various other sporting events. Wide grassy hills and walking paths surround the stadium, and admission is free, making it easy to drop by. Simply walking the gently rolling grounds feels refreshing, and it's a perfect spot for kids to run around the grassy slopes while adults rest on a bench. It's also close to Harano-yagawa Riverside Park, the fireworks venue, making it an ideal afternoon starting point to get moving before tonight's fireworks.

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from JR Aino Station, or about a 10-minute drive from JR Fukuroi Station. Parking is available (on the day of the festival it gets crowded with fireworks spectators, so visiting the park in the morning or early afternoon is recommended). There are shops and vending machines, making it convenient to stock up on drinks.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. The refreshing hours from morning to early afternoon are when the green lawns and sky look their most pleasant.
