Adjacent to Numazu Port, the "Numazu Port Deep Sea Aquarium Coelacanth Museum" is a rare aquarium nationwide that specializes in displaying deep-sea creatures from Suruga Bay, Japan's deepest bay with depths reaching approximately 2,500 meters. The specimen of a frozen preserved actual coelacanth is known as the only such display in the country, alongside various deep-sea fish that are difficult to display alive. The mysterious appearances of deep-sea fish glowing in the dim interior create a great sense of wonder for children, while sparking intellectual curiosity in adults. As a compact facility, it's convenient for families with children. As a uniquely Numazu experience, be sure to visit in the afternoon before the fireworks.

沼津夏まつり・狩野川花火大会は、2026年7月25日(土)から26日(日)にかけて開催される、静岡県東部を代表する夏の一大イベントです。狩野川の水面の上に開く約12,000発の花火は、川幅を生かしたワイドなスターマインや水中花火など多彩な演出が続き、音と光が川岸一帯を包みます。永代橋からあゆみ橋にかけての両岸どこからでも大迫力の花火を間近に楽しめるのがこの大会の魅力です。川面に映る色とりどりの光の帯と、頭上で開く大輪の競演は、1日の締めくくりにふさわしいクライマックス。夜空を埋め尽くすフィナーレの連発が終わったら、川風の余韻をゆっくり楽しんでから帰路につきましょう。

荒天時の開催可否は沼津市の公式発表および大会公式情報で確認してください。終了後はJR沼津駅・伊豆箱根鉄道沼津駅周辺が大変混み合います。終了直後は河川敷で少し時間をおいてから移動すると混雑を緩和できます。帰りの電車・バスの時刻は事前に調べ、乗り遅れに注意しましょう。足元が暗くなるため、スマートフォンのライト機能を活用してください。

Admission: Adults 1,600 yen, Junior High Students 800 yen, Elementary School Students 400 yen (please check the official website for current rates).
