The calm waters of Shibushi Bay spread out from the port, and at dusk a beautiful time arrives as the sky and sea turn from orange to purple. While claiming your spot during this window, take time to enjoy the port's distinctive dusk scenery. Food stalls and vendors for the fireworks festival line up in the area, building up the festival atmosphere. Checking the location of the restrooms and your route home during this time will make moving around after the fireworks much smoother.

Tips

About a 5-minute drive from Michi-no-Eki Shibushi (道の駅志布志). Roads around the venue get congested on the day, so it's best to arrive early and secure a parking spot, or park somewhere within walking distance. Use the restroom early, before it gets crowded. Don't forget to bring a picnic sheet and a trash bag.
