A museum conveying the pioneering history of Ishikari (石狩), where the building itself is a precious survivor that carries traces of that era to the present. 石狩市のあそびーち石狩(石狩浜海水浴場)は、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月23日(日)まで開設される道内屈指の海水浴場です。ライフセーバーが常駐し、家族連れも安心して海遊びを楽しめます。特徴的なのは、貸出用の車椅子や専用トイレ・シャワーを備えたユニバーサルビーチとしての設備で、体の不自由な方も海を身近に感じられる工夫が行き届いています。トイレや炊事場、キャンプ場も併設されており、日帰りの水遊びから泊まりがけの利用まで幅広く対応。波打ち際での水遊びや砂遊びをしながら、夕方まで石狩の夏をゆったりと満喫できます。
