About this spot

This park, about a 15-minute drive from Otaru Dream Beach, is popular with local families. It has a combination playground centered on a large slide and a spacious grassy plaza, making it the perfect place to get your body moving before going into the sea. There is also plenty of shade, which is a nice feature even on a summer morning. There is also a parking lot, so stopping by car is easy. Play here first as a warm-up before your swim.

Tips

Parking is free, but spaces are limited, so arriving early in the morning is recommended. The playground equipment is designed for children of a wide range of ages, and it is reassuring for adults to accompany young children. There are also restrooms.
