Located along the Shukutsu (祝津) coastline, this aquarium is popular for its outdoor pool shows featuring dolphins and sea lions. Inside are exhibits of penguins, seals, and fish native to Hokkaido's waters, making summer vacation season particularly lively. Positioned about 10 minutes by car from Shioya Beach, it's convenient to head straight to the sea after enjoying the aquarium. With many outdoor areas, walking around the hall serves as a good warm-up before entering the water.

小樽市内の海水浴場のひとつで、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月16日(日)まで開設されます。砂浜と岩場が入り交じった海岸で、透明度の高い北海道の海を間近に感じられるのが魅力です。遊泳は無料で、仮設トイレも設置されるため、日帰りの家族連れでも過ごしやすい環境が整っています。岩場では磯遊びも楽しめ、砂浜での水遊びと合わせて夏休みの1日をたっぷり満喫できます。水族館からのアクセスも良く、この日のコースの締めくくりにふさわしいクライマックスです。
Tips
駐車場は有料なので、事前に料金を確認しておくと安心です。岩場があるためビーチサンダルなど足元を保護できる履物があると安全です。仮設トイレはありますが更衣室が限られる場合があるので、水着は事前に着用しておくとスムーズです。
