Tomiura Biwa Club Roadside Station (道の駅とみうら枇杷倶楽部), in Tomiura-cho, Minamiboso City (南房総市富浦町), is a roadside station gathering the specialty products of Tomiura (富浦), known as Japan's leading loquat-producing area. Inside, along with local sweets such as loquat soft-serve ice cream and loquat jelly, there is a well-stocked direct-sales corner for local vegetables and seafood, and there is a restaurant too, making it convenient to stop for lunch before sea bathing. During the loquat orchard season you can also see loquat trees up close in the glass-walled greenhouse display, letting the family enjoy specialty products unique to Minamiboso (南房総). Once the shopping is done, it is finally time to head to the beach in the afternoon.

Tips

It is about 10 minutes by car to Tadara Kitahama and Toyooka Beach (多田良北浜・豊岡海水浴場). In summer it gets crowded at lunchtime, so entering early around noon is recommended. Putting bulky purchases in the car first before heading to the sea lets you move about lightly.

About 1 hour 30 minutes. Using it from the 11 o'clock hour, combined with lunch, is recommended
