About this spot

Tsushima Ōhama Beach spreads along the west side of Tsushima and will be open from July 17 (Friday) to August 31 (Monday) in 2026. Characterized by white sand and shallow, calm water, it's ideal for family water play. Swimming is free, and parking (200 spaces) is also free, making it easy to drop by. With bungalows, rest areas, shower facilities, and a cooking station, as well as camping areas and BBQ spaces, you can stay by the beach and relax after tiring yourself out from swimming (marine sports such as jet skis are prohibited). With excitement from the Tsushima Bridge tour still high, enjoy the sea fully until evening.

Tips

Both swimming and parking are free, but bungalows and camping facilities are fee-based. Shower facilities are available, so you can rinse off the salt before heading home. Marine sports are prohibited, so focus on water and sand play. Summer sand gets hot, so beach sandals are essential.

Best time to visit

After 1 p.m., the afternoon warms up fully, giving you plenty of time to swim until evening.
