Cross a bridge overlooking the Seto Inland Sea to Kasado Island
About this spot
A large bridge connecting central Kudamatsu City (下松市) and Kasado Island (笠戸島), overlooking the scenery of the Seto Inland Sea (瀬戸内海). At the foot of the bridge there is an observation space, a photo spot with a sweeping view of the blue sea and the islands. Simply driving across feels refreshing, and anticipation builds for the beach ahead. On clear days you can enjoy the calm beauty of the many islands typical of the Seto Inland Sea. Once you have crossed the bridge, you are on Kasado Island at last, with the beach not far away.

下松市の笠戸島にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月17日(金)から8月16日(日)まで、9時から17時まで開設されます。人工海水浴場と親水緑地公園、海上遊歩道が整備され、期間中はサメ防護網も設置されるなど、家族連れが安心して過ごせる工夫がされています。遊泳は無料で、コインシャワー(100円)も利用可能です。無料駐車場は約70台分あり、車での来場もしやすいのが特長です。瀬戸内海らしい穏やかな波の中、波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり楽しめます。
Tips
駐車場は約70台と限られるため、混雑する週末は早めの到着が安心です。遊泳時間は17時までなので、着替えとシャワーの時間を見込んで16時45分ごろには切り上げましょう。コインシャワー用に100円硬貨を用意しておくと便利です。
Tips
Parking in the space at the foot of the bridge and walking a little to take in the view is recommended. The bridge itself is basically for vehicle traffic, so keep your sightseeing to the observation area at the end.
Best time to visit
About 45 minutes. It is the time slot when the morning light makes the sea sparkle.
