A comprehensive park spread over rolling hills about 10 minutes by car from Hikari City center, featuring an observation deck modeled after a castle keep, grassy plaza, and play area with equipment. The park has plenty of greenery, making it easy to take a breather in the shade even on hot summer mornings. From the observation deck, you can see the Hikari cityscape and the Seto Inland Sea, building anticipation for Niji Hama Beach ahead. The grassy plaza is spacious enough to run around safely, perfect for stretching before swimming.

光市を代表する海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月16日(日)まで開設されます。真っ白な砂浜が続くビーチとして知られ、波が穏やかな瀬戸内海ならではの遠浅の海で、小さな子ども連れでも安心して水遊びができます。遊泳は無料で、シャワー(一部有料)や約280台分の駐車場が整備されているほか、海水浴場キャンプ場も併設されており、BBQやキャンプを楽しむ家族連れの姿も見られます。砂浜での砂遊びから波打ち際での水遊びまで、夕方までたっぷり夏を満喫できるビーチです。
Tips
駐車場は約280台分ありますが、週末やお盆の時期は早めの到着が安心です。遊泳自体は無料ですが、シャワーは一部有料なのでタオルと合わせて小銭を用意しておきましょう。BBQやキャンプを楽しむ場合は別途利用料がかかります。夏の砂浜は素足だと熱いので、ビーチサンダルを持参すると安心です。
Tips
The parking lot is large and easy to access by car. Don't forget a hat and water in summer. The observation deck has a gentle slope, so if you're using a stroller, choosing the paved path is easier to walk on.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour required. Morning before the sun gets strong is recommended.
