Yunohama Onsen (湯野浜温泉), spreading out just beside Yunohamakaigan Swimming Beach, is a charming hot spring town treasured for its scenic views overlooking the Sea of Japan. Along the coastal street, you'll find inns and dining establishments, with many restaurants serving dishes made from local seafood. Filling your stomach before swimming allows you to have plenty of energy for the afternoon. The beach is just a short walk from the hot spring town, so you can head to the water refreshed after your meal.
Tips
During swimming season, dining establishments can get crowded at noon, so arriving before 12 PM is recommended. Some inns offer day-use bathing, convenient for rinsing off after swimming.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes required. Between 12 PM and 1 PM is the ideal timing before entering the water.
