Swimming in the Calm Waters of the Seto Inland Sea Until Evening

About this spot

A beach in Ushimado, Setouchi City, which in 2026 opens from July 11 (Saturday) through August 23 (Sunday). A sea-opening ceremony will be held on July 10 (Friday) at 10 AM, a location cherished locally as herald of summer's arrival. The sea's calm waves are characteristic of the Seto Inland Sea, and swimming is free. Three beach houses line the sandy beach, offering showers, changing rooms, and shops. Since lifeguards are not stationed full-time, parents should keep a watchful eye on their children during water play. From splashing in the shallows to building sandcastles, spend the afternoon leisurely surrounded by Seto Inland Sea scenery.
