Dangyo Waterfall, nestled in the mountains of the Nakamura district, is a rare waterfall with two falls—a male and female fall—flowing side by side. The male waterfall has a cave behind it, allowing you to view the scenery through the waterfall curtain. From the trail to the waterfall pool is just a short walk, and the cool air surrounded by trees is perfect for a summer stroll. Before heading to the beach, you can cool off with the refreshing mist of the waterfall.

水道・トイレ・シャワーは隣接するさざえ村の設備を利用します。島の海水浴場は施設が限られるため、日除けのテントや飲み物は多めに持参すると安心です。離島のため、体調や天候の変化に気を配りながら無理のない範囲で楽しみましょう。
Tips
It's a few minutes' walk from the parking area to the waterfall. The ground behind the waterfall cave is slippery, so sturdy walking shoes are safer than sandals. You may get splashed, so wear clothes that can get wet.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes required. In summer, tourists seeking coolness make afternoons crowded, so a morning visit is recommended.
