Tokushima Central Park (徳島中央公園), located close to Tokushima Station, is a lush green park developed from the former Tokushima Castle Ruins. Stone walls, moats, and gardens that evoke the past remain, allowing visitors to enjoy both historical exploration and nature walks simultaneously. The park features many gently rolling, easy-to-walk paths, making it delightful even for families with young children. A light walk during the cool morning hours is a great way to warm up for the afternoon pool activities ahead.

Tips

The park is easily accessible by foot from Tokushima Station and has parking available. During summer, some areas have limited shade, so bring a hat and drink plenty of water for peace of mind. Most paths in the park are flat and easy to navigate with a baby stroller.

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 1 hour. A walk in the late morning, before temperatures rise, is recommended.
