About this spot

A leading beach of Kashiwazaki City (柏崎市), open in 2026 from Sunday 5 July to Sunday 16 August on days when lifeguards are on duty. Swimming hours are 9:00 to 16:00. The water, among the clearest in Kashiwazaki, and the calm shoreline let you enjoy everything from sandcastles to splashing safely with small children. Three beach houses line the shore, offering rest, meals and a shower (one, available when you use a beach house), so a long stay stays comfortable. Two toilets are also provided, giving families an environment that suits a full day. Soak up the summer sea to the full until near evening.

Tips

Parking at Onodachi Park (御野立公園) is free, and the beach house car park is 1,000 yen per day. Swimming is free, but resting at a beach house and using the shower are paid, so have change ready. Summer sand gets hot, so beach sandals are a must. Swimming ends at 16:00, so allow time to change and wrap up about 15 minutes beforehand.

Best time to visit

From just after 13:00, following your break at the aquarium, there is plenty of swimming time until near evening
