This is the coastline in Kashiwazaki City where Bangami Beach and Nishi-Bangami Beach lie side by side. In 2026 it's open from Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, August 16, with swimming hours from 9am to 4pm. Lifeguards are only stationed on designated days from Saturday, July 11 to Sunday, August 16, so it's reassuring to check this as well. There are 6 beach huts along the shore, with changing rooms and showers available when using a beach hut, plus one permanent shower at Nishi-Bangami. There is one permanent restroom. On the gently sloping, calm-watered beach, you can enjoy everything from playing in the surf to playing in the sand, right up until close to evening.

Since lifeguards are only stationed on designated days, families should swim within a comfortable, safe range. Changing rooms and showers require using a beach hut, so it helps to decide in advance which one you plan to use. There's only one restroom, so it's reassuring to use it early during busy times. Swimming ends at 4pm, so plan to wrap up around 3:45pm to allow time for changing.

Best time to visit

The afternoon from the latter half of the 1pm hour has settled sunlight, making it a great stretch to enjoy right up until closing at 4pm
