Nozumi Beach (野積海水浴場), facing the Sea of Japan in Nagaoka City, is open in 2026 from Saturday, July 11 to Sunday, August 16. Swimming is free, and the parking lot for 800 standard cars is free as well, which families will love. In addition to changing rooms, paid hot showers let you rinse off the salt before heading home, another helpful touch. Two beach houses stand on the shore, so taking a break or picking up a light meal is no problem. Restrooms are also maintained, so families with small children can spend the day with peace of mind. The parking lot is large and free, so this beach is easy to reach by car. The showers are paid, so have small change ready. Summer sand is too hot for bare feet, so beach sandals are reassuring. On busy weekends the parking lot starts filling from the morning, so arriving early is recommended.
