The swimming beach closest to central Naha, open in 2026 from April 5 to October 31. Although it is an urban beach with Route 58 running right alongside, its appeal is the highly transparent water that spreads before you. It lies below the cliff of Naminoue-gu Shrine (波上宮), and the scenery of the sea viewed through the torii gate is another highlight. With good access from Kokusai Street (国際通り) and Naha Airport, it suits families who want to enjoy both a city walk and a swim in a single day. Splash at the water's edge, play in the sand, and spend a leisurely time until evening.

Tips

It is easy to reach: just down the stairs from Naminoue-gu Shrine (波上宮), and within walking distance of the Naha Bus Terminal (那覇バスターミナル). Weekends tend to be crowded, so arriving early is recommended. Check on site for rest and changing facilities.
