A beach on the shore of Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) spreading through Takashima City, open in 2026 from Saturday, July 11 to Sunday, August 30, from 8:00 in the morning to 17:00 in the evening. It is a lake bathing spot long loved by families in Shiga Prefecture, which has no sea, and is characterized by the clear water of Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) and its gentle waves. With hot showers, a shared cooking area, changing rooms and a shop, changing clothes and preparing food are never a problem. Admission is 500 yen for elementary school students and older, and parking is 1,000 yen per vehicle. The great lake torii of Shirahige Shrine (白鬚神社) can be seen close by, and amid scenery unique to the lake country you can savor water play and time on the sand until evening.

Tips

About 15 minutes by car from Michi-no-Eki Toju no Sato Adogawa (道の駅 藤樹の里あどがわ). Operation ends at 17:00, so allowing time to change and wrapping up around 16:45 is recommended. Some areas have little shade, so a tent or parasol makes for a more comfortable stay. Check the shop's hours on the on-site notices.
