A shrine long cherished as the tutelary deity of Hondo, where the grand festival known affectionately as 'Okunchi' is held each autumn. The grounds are surrounded by trees with lots of shaded areas even in summer. After slowly walking the approach and paying respects, it's time to head to the beach. Have light lunch downtown and then head to Hondo Beach in the afternoon.

天草市本渡町広瀬に広がる、2026年は6月28日(日)から8月31日(月)まで開設される海水浴場です。遠浅で波が静かなビーチには監視員が配置されており、小さな子ども連れでも安心して水遊びを楽しめます。更衣室やシャワー、休憩所が整っているのもうれしいポイント。駐車場は50台分無料で利用でき、車でのアクセスも便利です。遊泳は無料で、シャワーのみ有料。波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり天草の夏を満喫しましょう。

駐車場は無料で50台分あり、車でのアクセスがしやすいビーチです。遊泳は無料ですが、シャワー利用は有料なので小銭を用意しておきましょう。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダルが必携です。日差しが強い時間帯はこまめな休憩と水分補給を心がけてください。
Tips
Easily accessible by foot or car from Hondo downtown. The grounds have stairs and stone pavement, so be careful with strollers. About 10 minutes by car to Hondo Beach after visiting.
Best time to visit
Takes about 45 minutes. Stopping by around noon before swimming keeps the day flowing smoothly.
