Hakkesakai Beach on Noto Island opens from July 19 (Sun) to August 16 (Sun) in 2026 (closed on July 21, 22, 28, 29 and August 4, 5 during the season). Facing Nanao Bay on the calm inner bay, this beach is perfect for young children with its gentle waves. Toilets, changing rooms, and paid showers are available, so you can freshen up without worry. There is no vendor stall, so it's best to bring drinks and light snacks beforehand. From water play at the wave line to sand play, enjoy the afternoon at a leisurely pace until evening.

Tips

Parking costs 800 yen for regular vehicles, 500 yen for light vehicles, and 300 yen for motorcycles; showers cost 100 yen per minute, so bring small change. Since there is no vendor, purchase drinks and light snacks in advance from nearby rest areas or around the aquarium. The sand can get hot on summer beaches, so beach sandals are helpful.

Best time to visit

After 2 PM, the afternoon sun is softer, allowing you to enjoy swimming at a leisurely pace until evening.
