Suisho Beach in Mihama Town, Fukui Prefecture, operates from July 1 (Wed) to August 31 (Mon), 2026, from 8 AM to 5 PM. As its name suggests, the beach features crystal-clear water, a gently-sloping sea, and white sand, renowned as one of the most beautiful beaches in Wakasa Bay. Swimming is free, and the parking lot has 2,000 spaces. Parking costs 1,000 yen on weekdays and 2,000 yen on weekends, holidays, and Obon period. From water play at the shoreline to building sand castles, you can fully enjoy the summer sea until evening.

Tips

The parking lot, though spacious, may fill up early on Obon and weekends, so morning arrival is safe. Beach sand gets hot in summer, so wear beach sandals. Swimming ends at 5 PM, so plan to finish by 4:45 PM to allow time for changing.

Best time to visit

From 1 PM in the afternoon onward is full of sunlight and offers long swimming hours until the 5 PM closing.
