A michi-no-eki along the main road of Mihama Town offering locally-caught seafood, Wakasa agricultural products, and souvenirs. The restaurant inside serves meals using seafood, perfect for a quick bite before beach swimming. The open design welcomes families with children, and rest areas are available. Just browsing the local selection is enjoyable and helps create travel memories.

福井県美浜町にある水晶浜海水浴場は、2026年は7月1日(水)から8月31日(月)まで、8時から17時まで開設されます。その名の通り透明度の高い遠浅の海と白い砂浜が広がり、若狭湾でも屈指の美しさで知られるビーチです。遊泳は無料で楽しめ、駐車場は2,000台分と広々。平日は1,000円、土日祝およびお盆期間は2,000円の駐車料金がかかります。波打ち際での水遊びから砂のお城づくりまで、夕方まで思いきり夏の海を満喫できます。
Tips
駐車場は広いものの、お盆期間や週末は早い時間に埋まることがあるので午前中の到着が安心です。夏の砂浜は素足では熱いのでビーチサンダルを。遊泳は17時までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで16時45分ごろには切り上げましょう。
Tips
Located on the way to Suisho Beach. It gets crowded at lunchtime, so arriving before 11 AM is recommended. Purchasing items requiring ice packs at the end makes carrying easier.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. Visiting between 11 AM and 12 PM before beach swimming is recommended for smooth timing.
