About 5 minutes by car from Hatsu Beach, this is a complex facility in Okagaki Town that combines a library, sports facility, and farmers market. The farmers market displays locally grown vegetables, fruits, and prepared foods, and you can have lunch in the dining area or terrace seating inside the facility. The air-conditioned interior is perfect for cooling off and resting before swimming. The library has an extensive picture book corner for children and is also convenient for a quick rain shelter.

遠賀郡岡垣町にある波津海水浴場は、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月16日(日)まで開設され、監視時間は9時から17時までです。環境省の「快水浴場百選」にも選ばれた遠浅の砂浜が広がり、波も比較的穏やかで小さな子ども連れでも安心して水遊びができます。海の家のような大がかりな設備はありませんが、観光ステーション北斗七星には多目的休憩室や貸自転車、授乳室、コインロッカーが備わっており、着替えや荷物預けにも困りません。コインシャワー(100円/3分)で潮を流してから帰れるのもうれしいポイントです。約150台分の駐車場があるので、車での来場もしやすい海水浴場です。
Tips
遊泳は無料ですが、コインシャワーは100円/3分の有料です。監視時間は17時までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで16時45分ごろには水から上がるのがおすすめ。観光ステーション北斗七星の授乳室やコインロッカーは小さな子ども連れの強い味方です。駐車場は約150台とゆとりがありますが、夏休みの週末は早めの到着が安心です。
Tips
Parking is free and plentiful. It's convenient to purchase everything needed for swimming here, including packed lunches, drinks, and sunscreen. On crowded weekends at lunch time, arriving early is recommended.
Best time to visit
Takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Using it from 11 AM onwards allows a smooth transition to afternoon swimming.
