Visit the grass pitch and history at soccer's mecca

About this spot

Japan's first soccer national training center, straddling Naraha and Hirono towns. Lush natural grass pitches spread out, hosting training camps for the Japan national team and many other teams. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, it was used as a base for recovery operations, but reopened completely in 2019 and became the starting point for the Tokyo Olympic torch relay. The building features exhibits that tell its story, making it recommended for soccer-loving children as well as families learning about reconstruction history. Viewing the grass pitch up close is an experience unique to this place.
