A roadside station located south along the coast from southern Akita City, positioned along Route 7. It has a rest area overlooking the Japan Sea, and features dining using local ingredients and a product corner, making it perfect for a meal before swimming or shopping. The restrooms are spacious, and it's also convenient as a rest stop during your drive. Since you can relax while viewing the sea, it's the perfect place to rest after playing at the zoo.

秋田市の下浜地区にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月19日(日)から8月23日(日)まで、9時から16時頃まで開設されます。日本海に面した波の穏やかな砂浜で、大きな観光地化されたビーチとは違う落ち着いた雰囲気の中、家族でのびのび水遊びができるのが魅力です。海の家にはシャワーと水洗トイレが用意されているので、水遊びの後の着替えやひと休みも安心。波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり秋田の夏を満喫しましょう。
Tips
海の家の利用料金は店舗により異なるため、現地の表示で確認を。夏の砂浜は熱くなるのでビーチサンダルが必携です。営業は16時頃までなので、着替えの時間も見込んで15時半頃には切り上げるのがおすすめです。
Tips
Located along Route 7 with a spacious parking lot. To avoid busy times, arrive early around noon. Buying extra drinks and ice cream here will make your beach break more comfortable.

Takes about 45 minutes. Stopping by around noon before swimming makes the afternoon schedule smooth
