About this spot

This beach in the Isohara district of Kita-Ibaraki City will be open in 2026 from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, August 16. Its defining feature is the view of Futatsujima (二ツ島), the two rocky islets floating offshore, and it's cherished as a photogenic stretch of coastline. Free parking is available for about 80-100 cars, and free showers are also on hand. With lifeguards stationed on site, families with small children can enjoy the beach with peace of mind. Swimming is free. From splashing in the shallows to playing in the sand, make the most of the summer sea until evening.

Tips

Free parking makes it easy to visit by car, but arriving early is recommended on summer weekends. Showers are free, but the changing area can get crowded, so wearing something easy to take on and off, like a rash guard, is convenient. Always follow the lifeguards' instructions and stay within the designated swimming area.

Best time to visit

The afternoon from just after 1 pm has the sun high overhead, giving you plenty of time to swim in the sunshine until evening.
