About this spot

A beach in the Isohara (磯原) district of Kitaibaraki City, open in 2026 from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, August 16. Its distinguishing feature is the view of the two offshore rock islets known as Futatsujima (二ツ島), and it is loved as a photogenic stretch of coast. A generous free parking lot with room for about 80 to 100 cars is provided, and free showers are available too. Lifeguards are on duty, so families with small children can swim with peace of mind. Swimming is free. From splashing at the water's edge to playing in the sand, make the most of the summer sea until evening.

Tips

The free parking lot makes it easy to come by car, but on summer weekends arriving early is recommended. The showers are free, but the changing space can get crowded, so clothes that are easy to slip on and off, such as a rash guard, are handy. Always follow the lifeguards' instructions and enjoy yourself within the designated swimming area.

Best time to visit

From just after 1 p.m. the sun is high, making it a time slot when you can swim plenty in the sunshine until evening
