An aquarium featuring a unique design that makes use of a natural inlet, where you can enjoy sea lion and dolphin shows not only in indoor tanks but also in the outdoor inlet. The exhibits allow close observation of marine life, with many engaging displays that keep even small children entertained. Located close to Shirahama Ohama Beach, visiting the marine creatures before swimming builds anticipation for the ocean ahead. Covered areas provide a convenient rest spot during intense afternoon heat.

下田市を代表するビーチで、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで開設。営業時間は8時から16時までです。約800mにわたる真っ白な砂浜と、遠浅で透明度の高い青い海が広がり、伊豆有数の美しさを誇る海水浴場として知られています。更衣室やシャワー、海の家もそろっているので、着替えや軽食に困らず1日を過ごせるのも家族連れにうれしいポイント。駐車場は約300台分用意されています。波打ち際での水遊びから沖での遊泳まで、閉場の16時まで思いきり夏を満喫しましょう。
Tips
遊泳は無料ですが、周辺駐車場は1日1,000円から2,000円程度かかります。夏の砂浜は日中とても熱くなるので、ビーチサンダルは必携です。営業終了は16時のため、着替えの時間を見込んで15時45分ごろには海から上がるのがおすすめ。混雑する週末は午前中に到着しておくと駐車場を確保しやすくなります。
Tips
The beach is just about 5 minutes by car away, making this an ideal stop before afternoon swimming. Dolphin and sea lion shows have set times, so check the schedule at the entrance to make sure you don't miss them.
Best time to visit
Takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Early afternoon typically features more show performances.
