Imaihama Beach in Kamo District, Kawazu Town is open July 25–August 23, 2026, with swimming from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. The shallow, gently-waved sandy beach is known for its clarity even by Izu standards, making it safe for small children to enjoy water play at the shore. The beach has 2 beach huts for meals and rest, and paid showers are available. Swimming itself is free, making it budget-friendly for families. From water play along the shore to sandcastle building, fully enjoy Kawazu's summer.

Tips
The parking lot has about 300 spaces at ¥1,000–2,000. Beach hut food and showers are extra, so bring small change for convenience. Summer sand is hot, so beach sandals are essential. Swimming ends at 4 PM, so plan to finish by 3:45 PM to allow time to change. Two restrooms are available.
Best time to visit
After 12:30 PM offers plenty of swimming time with lunch in between.
