The representative beach of Shodoshima in Shodoshima Town, opening from July 5 (Sun) to August 30 (Sun) 2026. The calm shallow sandy beach characteristic of the Seto Inland Sea is safe for small children to play in the shallow waves. Admission is free, and during summer the beachhouse operates, offering changing rooms, showers, light meals, and water activities for a fee. Public restrooms and free parking are complete, providing reassuring facilities for family day trips. Swimming with a view of the olive groves on the hilltop is unique to this beach. From wave play at the shore to sandcastle building, enjoy summer fully until evening.

Tips

Free parking is available, making car visits convenient. Swimming is free, but beachhouse facilities like rest areas, showers, and changing rooms require a fee, so bring coins. Summer sand is hot, so beach sandals are essential.

Best time to visit

From 1 PM onward, the sun is slightly gentler, offering plenty of time to swim until evening.
