About this spot

A roughly 500-meter sand trail that appears only before and after low tide between Nakayoshima and the main island of Shodoshima in Tonosho Town. Known as a "sanctuary for lovers" from the legend that those who hold hands while crossing will find happiness, families enjoy the experience of walking hand-in-hand. From the Angel Road Terrace observation deck, you can see the spectacular view of the sand trail extending like a floating path over the sea, perfect for commemorative photos. The proximity to Tonosho Port makes it a convenient starting point for the course.

土庄町にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月30日(日)まで開設されます。すぐそばの小島・鹿島に守られた入り江に位置し、波が穏やかで小さな子ども連れでも安心して水遊びができるのが魅力です。遊泳は無料で、夏期のみ海の家や更衣室、冷水シャワーが利用できます(いずれも有料)。駐車場も夏期のみ有料で開設されるので、車で訪れる家族連れにも便利です。トイレも整備されており、1日ゆっくり過ごせる海水浴場です。

Tips

海の家や更衣室、冷水シャワー、駐車場はいずれも夏期のみの有料利用です。小銭を用意しておくとスムーズ。日差しを避けるパラソルやテントがあると、休憩しながら長く楽しめます。

Tips

The trail appears for about 2-3 hours before and after low tide, which varies daily, so it's recommended to check the tide times in advance. The sand is walkable barefoot, but sandals are recommended as there are shells. The observation deck is just a short walk from Angel Road Nakayoshi Plaza.
