An observation platform at the summit of Shiundesan (352 meters elevation) jutting into the sea in Takkuma-cho, Mitoyo City. The highlight is the 360-degree vista of islands like the Shonaichi Peninsula, Awa Island, and Shiji Island scattered across the Seto Inland Sea—on clear days, even the distant Shikoku Mountains are visible. While famous as a cherry blossom spot, the island views experienced amid summer's crisp air are equally spectacular. You can drive to the summit; the observation area is just steps from parking, making it easy for families with small children to enjoy this leisurely day's start.

香川県三豊市詫間町にある名部戸海水浴場は、2026年は7月5日(日)から8月31日(月)まで開設されます。遊泳は無料で、更衣室・シャワー(100円)・トイレに加え有料駐車場(300円)も整っているため、着替えや荷物の心配が少なく家族連れでも訪れやすいビーチです。テントの持ち込みもできるので、日中の強い日差しを避けながら海辺でゆったり過ごせます。瀬戸内海らしい穏やかな波と静かな雰囲気が魅力で、小さな子どもの水遊びにも向いています。午後の時間をたっぷり使って、夕方まで海を満喫しましょう。
Tips
遊泳は無料ですが、シャワーは100円、駐車場は300円かかります。テント持込可なので、日陰用のポップアップテントがあると長時間過ごしやすくなります。売店が近くにない場合もあるため、飲み物や軽食は事前に用意しておくと安心です。

The road to the summit has narrow sections, so drive slowly. Restrooms are available at the observation deck. Early morning when the air is clearest offers especially sharp distant vistas.
