A lake swimming beach located by Lake Tazawa in Senboku City, available from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM from July 18 (Saturday) to August 30 (Sunday) 2026. Lake Tazawa, boasting Japan's greatest depth, features crystal-clear blue waters and white sandy shallow beaches, with lifeguards on duty ensuring families can enjoy water play safely. Admission is free, and visitors can enjoy the open lakeside views while spending time as they wish—from water play along the shore to playing in the sand. The quiet location surrounded by mountains offers a different kind of summer fun compared to ocean beaches.

Tips

Swimming hours are fixed from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, so it's recommended to finish about 15 minutes early to allow time for changing. The beach is very sunny during the day, so be sure to secure shade with an umbrella or hat. Since there are few shops in the area, it's a good idea to bring drinks in advance.

Best time to visit

After 1:00 PM in the afternoon, the sun is strong and abundant, making it an ideal time to enjoy plenty of water play until evening
