A scenic spot representative of Shirahama, featuring a cliff about 50 meters high that stretches for nearly 2 kilometers. The view of the Pacific Ocean from inside the railing is spectacular, with the contrast between white waves and blue sea making a striking impression. On clear days, the horizon stretches far into the distance from the observation deck, offering the perfect backdrop for a memorable trip photo. An elevator descending into the cavern below the cliff is also available, and worth visiting if time permits.

西牟婁郡白浜町にある、真っ白な砂浜が約600mにわたって続く南紀白浜のシンボル的な海水浴場です。2026年は5月3日(日)から9月13日(日)まで9時から17時の間、監視員が配置されます。遠浅で波が穏やかなため小さな子どもも安心して水遊びができ、南国リゾートを思わせる白い砂と青い海のコントラストは西日本屈指の美しさと評判です。遊泳は無料で、更衣室やトイレ、駐車場(有料)も整っているので、家族連れでも準備に困りません。波打ち際の水遊びから砂のお城づくりまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫しましょう。

Tips

崎の湯から車で約5分。監視員が配置されるのは9時から17時までなので、着替えの時間も見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめ。駐車場は有料なので小銭の準備を。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダルが必携です。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Toretore Ichiba. Railings are installed around the observation deck, but small children should hold hands while walking for safety. Shops and restrooms are well-maintained.
