Shirahama Beach in Toyo Town, Kochi Prefecture, opens from July 11 (Sat) to August 31 (Mon) 2026, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shark nets are installed on the gently sloping, calm sandy beach with lifeguards on duty, so small children can safely play at the water's edge. Swimming is free, and showers are reasonably priced at 100 yen for 2 minutes of hot water or 3 minutes of regular water. The parking area is free for 175 vehicles and spacious, making car arrivals smooth. Beach huts line the sand, and with the adjacent Shirahama Campground, you can spend the entire day enjoying the sea. Enjoy water play and sand play at the water's edge with your whole family until evening.

Tips
