Standing right beside Hara Castle Ruins, Amakusa Shiro Memorial Hall is a museum introducing Amakusa Shiro Tokisada, who led the uprising, and the history of the Shimabara-Amakusa Uprising. Through replicas of excavated artifacts and video materials, you can easily learn the background of the Hara Castle Ruins you just explored, making the historical narrative accessible even to children. The museum's air conditioning provides a pleasant respite after walking in the summer heat. Visiting both the ruins and museum creates a more vivid historical impression.

南島原市口之津町にある白浜海水浴場は、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月30日(日)まで開設され、遊泳時間は9時から17時までです。有明海に面した砂浜からは天草諸島を望むことができ、静かな入り江のため波が穏やかで、小さな子ども連れの家族にも安心して楽しめる環境が整っています。会場にはマリンスポーツ全般と水上バイクの利用を全面禁止するルールがあり、遊泳エリアの安全が確保されているのも特徴です。無料駐車場も約100台分用意されているため、車でのアクセスも便利です。波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり夏の海を満喫しましょう。

Tips

遊泳時間は17時までなので、着替えの時間も見込んで15分ほど前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。夏の砂浜は日差しが強いので、日よけと水分補給をしっかりと。マリンスポーツや水上バイクは禁止されているため、浮き輪や水遊び用グッズでの遊びが中心になります。
