About this spot

Uji Park comprises Tower Island and Tachibana Island, floating on the Uji River. The park features Japan's largest, or one of the largest, thirteen-tiered stone pagodas. Well-maintained walking paths connect the islands via vermilion bridges, allowing you to stroll leisurely while experiencing the Uji River's flow up close. Summer is also known for the cormorant fishing season here, and numerous benches and rest shelters dot the riverside. We recommend checking out the night sky from the riverside where the fireworks will light up later.

2026年7月20日(月)開催、陸上自衛隊宇治駐屯地の夏祭りを締めくくる打ち上げ花火です。19時50分から21時まで、基地の夜空に次々と花火が打ち上がります。地域の夏祭りならではのアットホームな雰囲気の中で見上げる花火は、大きな会場とはまたひと味違う魅力があります。1日の締めくくりにふさわしい、家族の夏の思い出になるひとときです。

Tips

荒天時は中止または内容が変更となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が大変混雑するため、余韻を楽しんでから時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いので、小さな懐中電灯があると安心です。

Tips

About 10 minutes on foot from Ujigami Shrine along the Uji River. Admission is free. Some areas lack shade, so hydrate regularly. The area around Tachibana Bridge is popular for photography.
