About this spot
A freshwater aquarium located on the Chitose River. The facility's main attraction is an underwater observation window that lets you see directly into the river. Depending on the season, you may observe salmon migrating upstream right before your eyes. The aquarium also features excellent displays of rare freshwater fish like sturgeon, entertaining visitors from young children to adults. It's become a standard stop for Chitose sightseeing along with the adjacent roadside station.

陸上自衛隊東千歳駐屯地で毎年開催される、地域に親しまれた夏まつりです。2026年7月22日(水)は17時から一般開放され、模擬店やイベントブースが並ぶ会場を歩いて回れます。普段は立ち入ることのできない駐屯地の敷地内を歩く機会は、子どもだけでなく大人にとっても貴重な体験です。夜が更けるにつれてまつりムードが高まり、フィナーレには夜空に花火が打ち上がります。地域と自衛隊が一体となった、あたたかい雰囲気の夏の風物詩です。
Tips
駐屯地内はイベント用に一部エリアのみ開放されます。会場スタッフや自衛隊員の案内・指示に従って行動しましょう。周辺道路や駐車場は夕方以降混雑するため、時間に余裕を持って来場するのがおすすめです。荒天時は内容変更や中止の可能性があるため、当日は公式発表を確認しましょう。

You can use the parking lot of the adjacent Salmon Park Chitose roadside station. Many exhibition areas allow photography, so the underwater observation window is great for photos. Plan about an hour if you explore the displays thoroughly.
