About this spot

A representative resort facility of Miyazaki, set within pine woods facing the Hyuga Sea (日向灘). The grounds have a maintained promenade where you can take a leisurely walk while enjoying the tropical greenery of the pine woods and the sea breeze. Shops are scattered throughout the resort, making it a great spot for a leisurely stroll combined with souvenir shopping in the evening. Walking through this area, where fireworks will be launched at night, while it's still light makes it easier to picture how the evening will go.

Tips

About a 20-minute drive from the zoo. As the sun begins to set, it becomes more comfortable to walk around, but insects tend to appear in the pine woods area, so bring insect repellent. The grounds are large, so allow plenty of time to get around.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. In the evening, the sunlight softens in the pine woods, making it a comfortable time to stroll.
