Near the First Parking Lot on Hibara Lakeside where fireworks will be launched, the daytime bustle settles and the beautiful time of sunset approaches the mountains. Spread out your takeout dinner or food purchased from nearby shops, and leisurely wait for the show to begin while gazing at the lake. Urabandai's high elevation means temperatures drop significantly in the evening even in summer, so bring a light jacket for peace of mind. The time spent at this peaceful lakeside is itself a luxurious moment unique to this mountain-nestled fireworks festival.

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Lake Sonoihara. Evenings can get chillier than expected, so don't forget a jacket. Limited shops are available in the area, so purchase your meal early.
