A relatively small and quiet lake adjacent to Lake Hibara. The landscape of submerged trees with bare branches protruding from the water surface is particularly striking, and the way the scenery reflects in the mirror-like calm waters is popular among photographers. Unlike the bustling atmosphere of Lake Hibara, this is a place to experience Urabandai's quiet and tranquil nature. As evening approaches, you can slowly watch the color of the lake surface gradually change.

2026年7月21日(火)、桧原湖畔第一駐車場周辺を会場に開催される、裏磐梯の夏を彩る花火大会です。標高の高い山あいの湖で打ち上がる花火は、周囲の山々に音が反響し、都会の花火とはひと味違う迫力を感じられます。穏やかな湖面に花火の光が映り込む様子も見どころのひとつ。涼しい高原の夜風とともに、裏磐梯の自然の中で楽しむ特別な50分間です。
Tips
荒天時は中止・延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は北塩原村の発表で確認を。夜は冷え込みやすいので上着を必ず用意しましょう。終了後は駐車場や道路が混雑するため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。
