A colossal wisteria tree designated as a national natural monument, said to be over 600 years old. While spring showcases purple flower clusters blooming across the trellis, summer presents an equally impressive sight: the thick trunk and lush green leaves spreading across the trellis create cool shade beneath. Located immediately beside Susanoo Shrine and carefully preserved as a community symbol, this tree is a landmark of the region. Experience its historic presence right next to the shrine where tonight's fireworks will rise.

2026年7月22日(水)、素盞嗚神社周辺を会場に開催される黒木町の夏の風物詩です。約990発の花火が山あいの夜空を彩り、周囲の山々に音が反響する迫力ある景観が楽しめます。地域の氏神様である素盞嗚神社と、隣接する天然記念物の大藤の木を見守るように打ち上がる花火は、この土地ならではの趣。都会の花火大会とは違う、静かな山里に響く花火をじっくり楽しめる90分間です。
Tips
荒天時は中止・延期の場合があるため、当日の開催可否は八女市や地元の発表で確認を。会場周辺は夜になると足元が暗くなるため、懐中電灯があると安心です。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。
Tips
Located adjacent to Susanoo Shrine, very close to the fireworks venue. Summer shade is pleasant, but insects are abundant, so bring insect repellent. Free parking is available nearby.
