Next stop: A Seaside Walk Across a Small Island Floating in the SeaAbout this spot
A workshop for the Hina Tsurushi Kazari (hanging hina ornaments) passed down in Inatori, where a group of local housewives continues making and displaying them throughout the year. The fabric is sourced from old cloth found as far as Tango, Nara, and Kyoto, faithfully carrying on ornaments with meanings handed down since ancient times. A making experience is available from beginner to advanced levels, letting you see the colorful hanging ornaments up close. Take the chance to touch Inatori's traditional culture during the daytime before the night of fireworks.
Tips
It can be reached on foot from Inatori Port. Since the interior is indoors, it is also a good place to rest during the hot hours of summer. Head to the next stop, Ebisu Island, along the coastal road.
