Historical walk at the foot of a Nanboku-Chō period mountain fortress
About this spot
A nationally designated historic site said to have been built by Akamatsu Enshin, a Harima warlord, during the Nanboku-Chō period. Climbing to the summit at about 440 meters elevation reveals remnants of the main garrison and stone walls with sweeping views, but even a walk around the base allows you to fully appreciate the historic mountain atmosphere. In the quiet green mountain valley, you can reflect on Kamigori's rich history.
