About this spot

A vast forest park of over 300 hectares spreading across the north side of the Rokko mountain range. A variety of trees from Japan and abroad are planted here, with well-maintained walking trails running throughout the grounds. In summer, the trees deepen in green, and simply walking beneath the dappled sunlight offers a valuable sense of coolness. Around the end of the rainy season, the hydrangeas also come into full bloom, making it a great spot for families to enjoy a relaxed nature walk. Shops and rest areas are scattered throughout the spacious grounds, so it's recommended to take breaks often as you explore.

Tips

Access by bus from Tanigami Station (谷上駅) on the Kobe Electric Railway is convenient. Admission is about 300 yen for adults. The grounds are hilly, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Even though there is plenty of shade in summer, don't forget to stay hydrated.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. The late morning to midday hours are relatively cool and comfortable for walking
