About this spot

The only airport in the Tajima region, located in Hidaka-cho, Toyooka City, affectionately known as Konotori Tajima Airport. It has a free observation deck where you can watch planes taking off and landing up close, as well as take in the peaceful satoyama countryside spreading out around it. The airport also has a souvenir shop and a snack corner, making it a spot the whole family can enjoy, not just kids who love airplanes.

Tips

It's convenient to travel there by car from Ebara Station (江原駅). Use of the observation deck is free. Checking the flight schedule in advance through the airport's official information will make it easier to time your visit with takeoffs and landings.
