Continuing from Otaru Canal within walking distance, this is Otaru's premier tourist shopping street featuring Meiji and Taisho-period Western-style buildings. Tips

About 5 minutes on foot from Otaru Canal (小樽運河). The street is long, so deciding which shops to visit beforehand makes it easier to cover them within the time limit. When eating while walking, bring a trash bag as waste bins are limited.

Approximately 45 minutes required. Late morning hours have fewer tour bus groups and are easier to walk through.
