This railway heritage site preserves the fan-shaped roundhouse that once served as the Bungo-Mori locomotive depot. Registered as a national Tangible Cultural Property, the facility lets you learn about steam locomotives and railway history from that era. It is close to JR Bungo-Mori Station (JR豊後森駅), the gateway to Kusu Town, making it a convenient first stop to start the day.

Since most of the visit is outdoors, bring a hat and water in summer. Visiting hours may vary depending on the facility's opening status.
