About this spot

The banks of the Asa River flow beside Mine City Hall, within walking distance from JR Mine Station (美祢駅). Cherry trees line the riverside, making it a well-known cherry blossom viewing spot in the city; the trees are also lit up at night during bloom season. Even outside of cherry blossom season, you can walk along the river and enjoy the sound of the water at leisure. Since the fireworks venue is downstream on the Sanyo-Onoda City side, be sure to allow extra travel time on the day.

Tips

Travel here by car from Hanaoka Fukutoku Inari Shrine. Since spots fill up from the evening onward, scouting the area at this time of day is useful if you want to secure a good viewing spot.
