This museum, themed around toys and music boxes, is located in the Yunogo Onsen (湯郷温泉) hot spring district. It houses European wooden toys, antique music boxes, and automaton dolls, and holds daily toy introductions, music box concerts, and craft workshops. You can enjoy actually listening to the melodies and trying hands-on activities, so it's engaging for everyone from small children to adults. Located in the Yunogo Onsen area, near the Mimasaka Furusato Festival (美作ふるさと祭り) fireworks venue, it's a great stop during the daytime.

Tips

Open 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last admission 4:30 p.m.), closed Wednesdays (open on public holidays, closed the following business day). Admission is 800 yen for adults and 400 yen for ages 4 through elementary school.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 15 minutes. Around sunset, the changing colors of the sky are especially beautiful.
